A very well-attended meeting of Lancashire WNP took place in the Fernhurst
Hotel in Blackburn, on Sunday
December 7th. The room was packed to capacity with well over forty
members and supporters present,
including one Brighton member who attended the meeting whilst on holiday
in Yorkshire.

Lancashire WNP Organiser John O'Brian (above), chaired the meeting.

He first introduced Mark Cotterill, editor of Heritage and Destiny magazine, who spoke about the party's recruitment methods in general and leafleting in particular.

Mark then called on Greg Cummings, an Ulster WNP member (above), presently visiting the mainland, to give a brief report on the progress the WNP were making in Ulster.

John next introduced Jerry Butler (above), the party's National Security Officer from Bradford, who spoke on the need to maintain an ever-vigilant watch at meetings, as well as the upcoming march in Bradford. He called for volunteers to join the security corps of members to volunteer for security duties.

Next speaker was Peter Rushton, National Press Officer, who said that the WNP was now posing a serious threat to the promulgators of the multi-racial establishment. He pointed out that the Labour Party, the so-called socialist movement, was being funded by big business capitalists and international financiers. He quoted cases where the left-wing thugs of ANAL and other groups had used extremely violent and criminal methods to try and silence their opponents. He added that the Redwatch site was in retaliation for the extreme left’s common practice of publicising nationalists’ names, addresses and details on their own websites.
Just before the interval, Mark Cotterill held a collection - dutch auction style - which raised £180, a record best for a WNP meeting.
There were two main literature/merchandise tables, run by the WNP and
Heritage and Destiny and both did a
very healthy trade in magazines, badges, books, CD's, T-Shirts and
many other items, both before and after
the meeting.

After the interval, John O'Brian introduced the final speaker of the
after, WNP National Organiser John
Wood (above). John reiterated the importance of increasing the membership
and told the meeting that this was to be considered a priority. He announced
that there were arrangements being made to stage meetings at branches up
and down the country in the coming few months. He said that the New Year
would see more and more meetings with a wide selection of speakers following
the success of the training sessions.
John Wood again illustrated the differences between the BNP and the WNP. He said that the BNP could no longer be considered as a nationalist party while it continued to absorb members from ethnic minorities and produced election candidates who bent over backwards to deny they were racially motivated.
Before the meeting closed the Christmas raffle, organised by Heritage
and Destiny was held with the tickets being drawn by two young female members
from Stockport. Prizes of Wine, Chocolates and CD's were
won by a dozen lucky members.
Just as everyone was getting up to leave, Mark Cotterill sprung the
final surprise of the afternoon - song time! With one of our Stockport
members guarding the door so nobody could leave! - Everybody stood and
sang first 'Jerusalem' (no longer the copyright of the BNP!) and then
one of Nationalism's all-time favorites
- 'Tomorrow Belongs to Me'. Considering it was a first time and nobody
had any prior warning this was going
to happen, it went off very well - however we won't be giving up our
day jobs!

The meeting closed at around 4.30pm, with many members gathering at the bar downstairs for a couple of hours a general chat over a couple of pints. The WNP's final meeting of 2003, was a resounding success, a very enjoyable, positive and productive gathering.
Around 15 members stayed on for a pre-Christmas social at the nearby
home of Mark Cotterill, which carried on late into the evening!
