GREAT AUTUMN NORTHERN REGIONAL MEETING
Leeds 12th September 2004

There were several speakers at this latest meeting of the WNP; some old, some new. Throughout the meeting, the theme was more members, more action; a topic that was received enthusiastically by the audience.

The National Organizer, John Wood, chairing the meeting, announced that it was time that other speakers heard instead of leaving it to the usual few. It was a move that boded well and all who spoke were given resounding applause.

Michelle B., the Women’s Division organizer, called for more active participation by members in her area. This was a plea that many organizers were to echo.  She went on to say that the only way to stop the tide of undesirables from taking over the streets was to reclaim them now!

This was widely applauded.

Adrian B. followed Michelle and stated that prolonged publicity was an effective way to engender interest. “Stickers and leaflets have a big impact on people and it is imperative that the party’s growth should continue”, he said. He added that he had noticed that it was the same people who were relied upon to be active. He said, “We need new blood, certainly, but we also need existing members to pull their weight. This is the way forward; this is the way to success!”

Chris Smith, the recently appointed Youth Coordinator, told the meeting that he when he had studied the nationalist policies in depth, he had found the answers that he had been looking for.

He said that it was of paramount importance to nurture and feed the interests of the Youth Movement.  “The young people aren’t all hypnotized by what they see on television and in the newspapers. Young people can think for themselves and they don’t like what they see on the streets of our country today. His cry was “Get the young motivated; get them active!”  This was a very good maiden speech and we are most certain to hear him again in the near future!
At this half-way stage, there was a collection and a break for refreshments.

Tony White, Leeds Organizer, opened the second half of the meeting by describing what was happening in his particular area. He said that there were very few ethnics or asylum-seekers because the local residents have voiced a strong protest that they would not be welcome.  Even Leeds City Council said that it was a bad place to put immigrants, as it was aware of strong racial prejudices in and around Bramley. The area is not a “des. Res.” area, far from it. Tony explained that it was just an ordinary working-class community that had got fed up of being second-class citizens. He went on to illustrate what could be done when there is a visible nationalist presence on the streets. He mentioned the plight of our political prisoners and urged everyone to help with a few donations. He said, speaking from experience, that it meant a lot to someone incarcerated to know he hadn’t been forgotten by his comrades.

Ursula Rodgers, back in the hot seat as West Midlands organizer, reported on the recent Day of Action in Coventry. “It wasn’t the biggest demo but we certainly made an impact that day,” she told the meeting.  Ursula too, spoke about the apathy of some members when called upon to be more active. She told her listeners, “We need more people on the streets, the problems are increasing and they won’t go away by themselves.”

She spoke as a mother, bringing a family up in hostile surroundings and said that she was determined to raise her family in the old values of a white Britain.
Peter Rushton, National Press and Publicity Officer was the last speaker.  He said that he was saddened at the recent passing of two nationalists that he had known. Pastor Richard Butler, founder of Aryan Nation and Chris Etchell, a local nationalist who had been recently jailed for throwing an egg at a prominent Labour Party member. Unfortunately, the member was a Pakistani and therefore, the offence was considered to be a very serious assault.  Chris lost his job as a direct cause of this and when he was released from prison, found it virtually impossible to secure employment. Sad to say, while suffering from post-release depression, he took his own life.

Peter mentioned recently released population figures and commented on the fact that the population has gone past the 60 million mark. It was admitted that the main reason for this was an increase in immigration. This, he said, makes ridicule of those who maintained that there were more people leaving the country that were coming in!  He continued, “This is just an excuse to import more and more cheap labour to the detriment of white jobseekers.
Kerry, a 15 year-old schoolgirl youth member, spoke of the difficulties a young nationalist has when being asked for her opinions. She said that her fellow pupils hadn’t the remotest idea of what nationalism meant and didn’t or wouldn’t understand when she tried to explain.  Se said that she deplored the fact that so many of her school companions had black or pakistani boyfriends. She said that it was regarded by them as a social achievement and she was saddened to see young white girls throwing away their heritage in such a fashion.  This young lady has spoken before at our meetings and will, I’m sure, become a very popular addition to our growing list of competent speakers.

The National Organizer thanked all the speakers and said that the different approaches to the same problems made for a very interesting and informative meeting.

He commented on the immigration problems that Peter Rushton had highlighted and reminded the meeting of changing attitudes in the Trades Union movements.  He said at one time, the unions would have been 100% against cheap labour flooding the market but the unions of today aren’t militant Marxists any more but committed guardians of the multi-racial policies of a judeo-trotskyist leadership.
The meeting ended with a short but lively Questions and Answers session.
