First 2005 Leeds Area Meeting
Sunday March 13th

Several speakers addressed the first Leeds area meting of 2005.  The meeting was chaired by the National Activities Organizer, John O’Brien (above) who opened the meeting by welcoming members old and new.

Adrian Brooks, National Security Officer stressed the need for extra vigilance as the threat of terrorist activity would appear to be imminent in the light of the latest folly regarding detention and controlling Moslem extremists. He went on to say that our meetings would be well protected and that there was always room for more security officers if any member or members felt that they would be prepared to help.

Michelle Brooks, the Women’s’ Division Leader deplored the idea of black-only schools an proposed by the Afro-Caribbean groups. She asked if white-only schools would also be available and wryfully declared that the idea would never be considered by any of the old parties. She told the meeting that it was the usual case of one law for the blacks and another for whites; a situation that we know only too well!

A Nationalist dissident facing prosecution for his beliefs in Leeds then highlighted the fact that persecution of Nationalists was increasing in the run-up to the election. He said that it was all part of the Tony Bliar feel-good factor and was just another Labour Party ploy to get more votes.  He said that if the nationalists in this country were pushed much more, it would only serve to make them more aggressive and take to the streets.  Many other members appeared to share his views.

Ken Shapcott spoke of an Independent standing against the sitting Labour Party MP and quoted his comments in the local press. He deplored the fact that the MP had spent time and public money in visiting Kashmir, Pakistan, Botswana, Nigeria and even Outer Mongolia! One wondered, said Mr Shapcott that the MP had time to visit his own constituency!  He added that the independent candidate may be of more use in a nationalist party than trying to go it alone. A view that earned him applause.

Dave Jones spoke of his disappointment in the NF when he discovered that it was slowly going down the same multicultural road as the BNP in its decision to allow non-Europeans into its ranks. He said he was glad that one party, the WNP, had never stooped to that level in order to attract more members.

John Wood, the National Organizer, asked just what Tony Bliar was playing at over the suspected terrorist detainees. Not only was he at loggerheads with the opposition, understandable, but also with the House of Lords and the Judiciary!  Even while the heated debate was being discussed in Parliament, it was decided to release a number of known terrorist suspects into the streets. Mr. Wood said that under a WNP leadership, there would be no problem in deciding what to do with people like that; they just wouldn’t be here!  He said that the bleeding-heart liberal apologists were only concerned with their basic human rights. “What about the rights of free-born Britons?” he asked. “What about their right to walk the streets without fear of bomb or knife attacks?”
John Wood mentioned the news in the Sunday Telegraph that the Chief Constable of Nottingham has admitted that drug gangs and gun law were winning and at the same time, he drew attention to an article that reported a total of £34,000 had been made from parking tickets in one street alone during 2004.  “If you want a policeman in a hurry,” he said, “don’t bother to dial 999, just overstay your parking by a couple of minutes!”

The meeting ended with a lively Questions and Answers session where several pertinent points were discussed. The meeting closed at 4.20pm.
