ANOTHER GREAT NORTHERN REGIONAL MEETING
Leeds 5th July 2003

Another inspirational meeting of the White Nationalist Party was held in Yorkshire on Saturday 5th July 2003,
in the town of Pudsey, just outside of Leeds.

The meeting attracted members and supporters from Yorkshire, Lancashire and the West Midlands who
listened to excellent speeches from Tony Braithwaite, Mark Cotterill, Ursula Rogers and Peter Rushton. John Wood chaired the meeting and spoke of the need to maintain the spirit of the party while it was being administered by National Council. He assured members that the Council would be responsible for the day-to day running of the WNP and that all appointments would be made by the Council.

All the speakers reinforced the WNP pledge not to water down the basic principles of Racial Nationalism in an effort to appear respectable to attract votes as some so-called Nationalists are mistakenly attempting to do.

Tony Braithwaite speaks

The first speaker was Tony Braithwaite the WNP's Hull area organiser and a long-time nationalist from the early days of the National Front. Tony spoke about the need to appoint seasoned and experienced members to positions of responsibility, a view shared by many. He pointed out the differences between the WNP and the BNP in terms of policy and leadership.

Mark Cotterill

Next speaker was Lancashire area organiser Mark Cotterell, the ex-BNP member who forged links with American Nationalists. He spoke of his sadness of having to return to Britain due to pressure from the US authorities after the events of September 11th. He is, at the moment, producing the Heritage and Destiny magazine.

Just before the break Bradford WNP member Lisa Paton took the collection which raised over £140.00.

Ursula Rodgers

The third speaker of the afternoon was Ursula Rodgers, the WNP's West Midlands organiser, who spoke about Nationalist unity and WNP activities in the Birmingham area. She ended her talk by welcoming back to the movement Tony White, who was in attendence after being jailed for a so called 'hate-crime'.

Pete Rushton

The final speaker of the afternoon was Manchester WNP member Peter Rushton, who gave a very informative account of the way our nation is in danger of losing its identity. He produced facts and figures illustrating his comments and making us all realise that the work of the WNP and similar parties will be an uphill struggle before we can convince Joe Public that the time for change is now!

Meeting chairman John Wood then held a question and answer session, where members and supporters could question the platform speakers and party organisers.

Everyone present agreed the meeting was a resounding success with excellent speakers and a great atmosphere amongst those attending. Discussions after the meeting included plans to attend next week's Orange Parades in Southport, the trip to Ulster the following weekend and fighting selected wards in the local elections next year. Another major meeting of the WNP is scheduled for August in Birmingham.

The three literature stalls run by the WNP, Heritage and Destiny and the Heretical Press did a brisk trade.
